Abdominal Scar Release
Abdominal Scar Release is designed to support the healing recovery of post surgery scars and reconnect you with your abdomen and female health with specialised skills including scar release method, Myotherapy techniques, guided breathwork, cupping, and gua sha for caesarean and other abdominal surgeries.
With a nurturing and compassionate approach to your healing journey, we aim to support the reconnection to your abdomen through awareness, release of tension, promote tissue regeneration and renew your mobility and function. Our qualified therapist performs a breath assessment to understand your abdomen health and will ask questions to understand your wellbeing journey. Followed by breathwork education and activation to support the foundational reconnection to your body. Use of gentle to moderate pressure to the abdomen, diaphragm and directly on the scar area using abdominal scar release techniques to relieve adhesions and discomfort. Including myofascial release, trigger point therapy, breathwork, cupping, Gua Sha, and mobilising the body. Pacing of the treatment is guided by you. Using this technique may support the physical and emotional healing of your experience and increase your confidence in your body and sense of self.

When Can Treatment Begin?
Treatment is generally appropriate from approximately 8–12 weeks post-surgery, once initial healing has occurred. Older scars, including those several years old, may also benefit from treatment.
